I had so much fun this past January traveling to Belize! I ran into a fabulous Artist and Musician = Family Fusion! I happened to come across this lovely gentleman playing his saxophone along the tiny street in Belize. I approached him and asked if I could have his permission to take some photographs of him… from one artist to another, and he smiled a huge smile and agreed! He wanted to know what he should do…. and I simply said…”just play your saxophone!” All I can say is what a talented man!!!! You could see and feel his love for HIS music … for HIS art. I let him play for a few minutes and snapped a few photographs, but the magical part all of my travels, is meeting new and interesting people… sitting down and really talking to them. The one thing that was so special about this meeting was his love for music and art and his concern about Belize in general “losing” this art form in their community. He was so worried about the loss of music, the loss of art simply because it was too expensive. He spoke so highly of his children and was so proud that he could show them music and art and make this part of their lives. What a special gift has given them!
